Inquiry #4: Based on CalTran's standard specifications the (2) 144"x90" C47B signs required on this project are to be mounted on Laminated Wood Box Posts (LWBP). 2015 CalTrans standard specifications section 82-3.02D states that these are a department furnished item. Where will the contractor be able to pick up the LWBP from and will the department have these readily available to the contractor?

Inquiry #5: Section 83-11.02E(1) of the special provisions states that on the guardrail adjustment that the posts must be removed and then reinstalled with sand bedding to get the posts to the new proper height. Removing these posts will destroy the fiber weed mat that is sealed around each post. How is the existing fiber weed mat to be treated during this adjustment and also where the terminals are to be reset?
