Submit new inquiry for this project

Inquiry #1: There are a lot of trees that needs to be removed and none are shown on the plans or has been mentioned for the removal on the special provisions. There are no bid item for tree removal and it is not clear to us if Caltrans is removing these trees or the contractor? Please provide information about the numbers, types & sizes of each tree if contractor is responsible for this work In the IH handout page 120 of the 141 OF IH booklet this paragraph explains the tree removal work:
"Upland Trees: Approximately 115 upland trees are expected to be removed on the
westbound side of SR 20 to attain the additional road width required for the project
objective. These trees include coast redwood (Sequoia sempervirens), Douglas-fir
(Pseudotsuga menziesii) and California bay laurel (Umbellularia californica)."

Inquiry #2: In reference to the tree removals, we are getting information there is up to 3 weeks of tree and stump removal prior to starting any excavation or grading. This seems to make the 45 maximum number of working days not enough time to build the project. Will Caltrans increase the allowable maximum number of days to something more reasonable given the time restrictions on the trees and drainages?
