Inquiry #1: Bid items 5 and 6 call for temporary striping and markings on the new HMA. This project is paved in a single 0.15' lift. There is no multi-lift paving.
What is the purpose of applying temporary stripe to the new roadway when the permanent stripe will be applied shortly after the paving operation. The temporary stripe will invariably be in conflict with the permanent striping. Can temporary markers be used in lieu of the temporary stripe?
