Inquiry #2: Why is there contrast thermoplastic black on this project when contrast is only for concrete bridges or P.C.C. roads. It already is a separate operation to do thermoplastic black so it would be costly for no reason at all with this all A.C.

Response #2:(BI#2)-The contrast striping is to mask out any remaining old striping that would confuse the new striping if it went down not in complete alignment. Bid per current bidding document.

Inquiry #3: Conventional Highway Lane Requirement Chart No. K1 on page 13 has two notes under "legend". One is "D" which is shown on the chart, the other is "R" which isn't shown on the chart. Is the "R" note actually supposed to be "N" which is shown on the chart?
