Inquiry #2: 1) Confirm Door #3 (Type A -Interior) is indeed Bullet Resistant. All other door type A are exterior openings.

2) Hardware Groups #6 & #8 -Operating trim is not needed when lockset / latch is used. Confirm that the push & pull plates can be removed from groups.

3) Openings #18 & #21 -Rapid Roll-Up Doors -Confirm a hollow metal frame (pmf) is required at these openings. It will be provided by 99-08100 -Steel Doors And Frames (Per Detail 1/A1-17).

4) Openings #25 -Overhead Coiling Door -Confirm a hollow metal frame (pmf) is required at this opening. It will be provided by 99-08100 -Steel Doors And Frames (Per Detail 1/A1-17).

Inquiry #4: Specification Section 99-15330B Materials specifies an "end suction" fire pump. The pump drawn on related plan page M2.01 illustrates what is commonly known as a "Horizontal split case" fire pump. An end suction pump can not be driven by an engine as shown. Please clarify.

Plan page M2.01 Equipment Schedule calls for a pump to deliver 1,750 GPM @ 70 PSI.
NFPA does not have a 1750 GPM as a rated flow for fire pumps, we can quote a pump that will deliver 1750 GPM but the rated flow will be 1500 GPM. Is this acceptable.

1.Fire pump to meet requirements of plan sheet M2-01 and NFPA 20.
2.A 1500 GPM pump is not acceptable. Please provide a pump that is capable of delivering the required 1750 GPM as approved by the State Fire Marshal.

On plan sheet A0-6 the finish schedule remarks for the FRP states wainscot.

On plan sheet A1-7 the elevations show FRP unclear as to what height.

Response #2:(BI#6)-Structure’s Response: Finish descriptions under Walls in the finish schedule on plan sheet A0-6 reference a general height of 8’ for the FRPP. For the Scale Room (Room 100), sheet A1-7 shows the FRPP varies in relation to the ceiling heights as called out in the Remarks on the finish schedule on sheet A0-6. In addition, plan sheet A1-11 shows a section of FRPP at the emergency eyewash/shower in the Truck Inspection Bay.
