Inquiry #1: In regards to Bid Item No. 36 - Sheet ECL-1 states to take a minimum of 3 samples from each designated site and the plans call out for three designated sites (1 per Erosion Control Type). However, the bid line item only accounts for 3 EA. Each soil sample will require its own soils test. Please clarify if this bid line item should be 9 EA, to account for the total amount of requested samples.

Each soil testing bid item includes all three samples at each designated test site. Please bid per the current contract documents.

Inquiry #2: Inquiry #6: 1. Will the contractor be responsible for all measures and reporting required by the CDFW 1600? Specifically: 1) Measure 2.26 - Spill Prevention Plan; ) Measure 4.1 - Temporary Impacts Reseeding Reports for Year 1 and Year 2 post reseeding
2. Will the contractor be responsible for the following measures and reporting Section XIV. Conditions, B. Reporting and Notification Requirements: 1) Project Reporting, a. Annual Reporting, 2) Project Status Notifications, a. Commencement of Construction, b. Request for Notice of Completion of Discharges, and c. Request for Notice of Project Complete Letter?
If so, will line items be added to the bid item list to cover these costs/deliverables?

Response #2:
Item 1: Your spill prevention plan should be included as part of your job site management proposed in your SWPPP. Work associated with 4.1 will be performed by the department.
Item 2, Your attention is directed to Section 5-1.20B(1) and Section 9-1.03, paragraph 1, item 2 of the Standard Specifications. Provide communications and submittals to the engineer for PLACs and the engineer will communicate/submit submittals to the Agencies.
