Inquiry #1: On sheet EQ-1 you show 4 portable signals for sheet E-1. But sheet E-1 only shows 3 signal locations. Which one is correct?

Inquiry #2: At the Weaver Creek Bridge, will the Contractor be allowed to drill into the existing girder in order to support the old overhang and install the new overhang prior to strengthening? If all work under the bridge is to be done with scaffolding and the girders are to be wrapped prior to the new deck being installed, please advise on how to support the new overhang.

Inquiry #3: At the Ti Creek Bridge Location, the detail on page 79 of the plans for the Structure Excavation (Bridge) and Structure Backfill (Bridge) shows backfill all the way to the bottom of the soffit. Is this an accurate drawing, or is it Caltrans intention to not have the backfill go all the way to the bottom of the soffit. The detail is not clear regarding this.

On the same page 79 of the plans, the detail shows the piles being right at the abutment wall. How far away are they actually from the abutment wall? Please advise.

Inquiry #4: Spec section 14-6.05A(2) calls for Invasive Species Control measures to be performed. Typically this work is paid for under its own bid item. Which bid item will this work be paid under?

Inquiry #5: Bid Item #3 Time Related Overhead (WDAY) has a quantity of 250 Working Days. However, the Notice to Bidders, page 1 of the Specs, states that the work is to be completed in 230 Working Days. Please advise as to what is the correct Working Days on this project.

Inquiry #6: At the Irving Creek Bridge, the plan page 60 has a bid quantity of 3.3 cy of Structure Excavation (Bridge). However, there is no item to replace this excavation. Is the intent of Caltrans to just excavate without any material backfill? Please advise.
