Inquiry #1: We noticed missing spec's for moving lane closer for striping on this project. This a simple striping job for moving and labor intensive for coned closer with public inconvenience. The whole rest of the state outside of dist. 2 is currently performing or allowing moving closers.Please amend for the savings and time related benefits.

Inquiry #3: Item 14 Thermoplastic Traffic Stripe (Enhanced Wet Night Visibility) is being treated as if it is being applied as a sprayable item under this description. The following is a current project on I-5 in District 2 and is an example of how the bid items for .090 Themoplastic (Enhanced Wet Night Visibility) stripe are normally bid. The reason is because sprayable is paid differently than an extruded traffic stripe

Response #2:
The bidder’s attention is directed to section 84-2.03C(2)(e) of the 2015 Standard Specifications with revisions by the Revised Standard Specifications dated 04-20-2018. This section covers the method of application of “Thermoplastic Traffic Stripes and Pavement Markings with Enhanced Wet-Night Visibility”.

Paragraph two of section 84-2.03C(2)(e) is also revised by the contract special provisions in section 84 “MARKINGS”.

The bidder’s attention is also directed to section 84-2.04 “PAYMENT” of the 2015 Standard Specifications with revisions by the Revised Standard Specifications dated 04-20-2018.
