Inquiry #1: Page 13 of the Spec states "Replace 7th item in 5th paragraph of section 60-3.02C(1) with: 7. Maximum operating weight of 20,000 lb." What equipment with this weight restriction does Caltrans believe could be used for this operation? Please advise.

Inquiry #2: Page 16 of the Spec states "Replace 7th paragraph of section 60-3.04B(3)(c) with: Broom finish the polyester concrete surface before gelling occurs. Apply the broom finish perpendicular to the path of travel."
Polyester concrete cannot be broom finished. Will tining or smooth finish with top sand be acceptable as a replacement of broom finishing? Please advise.

Inquiry #3: Are there any permits or other specified requirements needed to perform work at the park side of the White Rock Pedestrian Overcrossing?

Caltrans has no permits agreements with the Park. The Contractor is required to make arrangements and adhere to their requirements if he accesses the park. Please bid per the current contract documents.

Inquiry #4: The White Rock Pedestrian Overcrossing is currently ADA compliant. With the removal of the existing deck surface, the deck will no longer be ADA compliant prior to opening to public. Will this be allowed?
