2) The Revised Standard Specification for Section 12-1.04- Payment is not used. Are we correct in understanding that the Department will not be paying 1/2 of the cost for furnishing flaggers?

3) If the contractor fails to complete the project within the number of working days bid, will the stated cost of time at $4,800 per day be assessed for the period in excess of the working days bid required to finish the project?

2) Yes, based on the Revised Standard Specification for Section 12-1.04, the Department will not be participating in the cost of furnishing flaggers.

Inquiry #2: Section 15-1.03C lists the stockpile location as the Sunrise Electric Maintenance Shop in Rancho Cordova. Is the the salvaged guardrail to be delivered to this location as well?

SOQ identifies 1,750 LF. There is no SP or RSS for section 16, nor is there a Construction Detail.

Your attention is directed to the Layout Sheets and Special Provisions Section 14 in regards to the Exclusion Fencing. Section 16 in the Standard Specifications provides specifications for constructing temporary high-visibility fences.

Inquiry #4: On the Fiber Optic Cable Systems plan sheets note 1 is utilized and states to leave 65' of slack 144 SMFO cable coiled in vault. If you go to plan sheet 83 EQ-1, the fiber optic cable system quantities as it relates to vaults indicates that the department wants splice enclosures in all but two of the new vaults. So my question, is the extra 65' of slack expected to be racked inside the new vaults on new racking ? Are we to provide and install new splice enclosures and terminate each end of the new 144 SMFO inside the new splice enclosures ?

Inquiry #6: Shown on plan sheet Q-1, Pavement, Structure Quantities Summary, HMA (Type A) quantity does not appear to match the calculated quantity based on the depicted structural sections on sheets L-1 to L-10.
