Inquiry #3: It appears that the State has not considered construction access at each end of the bridge or to reconstruct the tie ins to the approach slabs. If we choose to remove extra pavement at each end of the structure for access, what will the required new asphalt structural section be? As the existing has CTB. Also, what bid items are we to put these in?

Inquiry #6: Please reference Plan sheet 42 note 2. "Ridgeway Drive to be closed on Nights while dismantling the existing bridge and Erecting New Girders". No table in the special provisions addresses the closure time frames or days of the week that this can occur. Also, is this to be considered for stage 1 or just stage 2 as it is listed on the plans just for stage 2?

Inquiry #8: The plans detail out the removal of the existing bridge footings entirely. Bent 3 is close to an E.I.D. 12" water main with 120 PSI. The footings are 6' x 6' x 2'6" thick. The excavation and removal of the footings may damage the water main? Is is possible to leave the footings in place?

Project Information files contain X-Sections for A1 Line in pdf format from Station 142+00 to 149+50. The variable height (C-5) 60MC Barrier begins at Station A1 132+37.
Please provide the missing X-Sections from 132+37 to 142+00 so that Barrier quantities and productions may be calculated.

Inquiry #12: Please reference the third paragraph in the special provisions section 12-402.C(3)(a): "Maintain Continuous Through Traffic at the Sawmill Road/Ridgeway Drive Off Ramp and On Ramp with the Assistance of Flaggers for the hours marked with "M" on G1 and G2. The Chart Shows Friday, Saturday and Sunday Evenings. Can you Verify the Necessity of these Flaggers and the Quantity of Flaggers that will be required on these weekend Peak hours. Is this only to be considered if we have work being performed during that time frame, or when the lanes are reduced on Mainline?

Inquiry #15: Per section 52-1.02B Bar reinforcement of 2018 Standard Specifications only ASTM A706/A706M Grade 60 rebar is allowed to be used in precast/prestressed girder fabrication. Sheet 116 of 124 of Contract plans specify #3 epoxy coated reinforcement which is only available in A615 Grade 60.

Can A615 Grade 60 be used for bottom flange reinforcement of girder?
