Inquiry #8: Please clarify the "Working Days Bid" process. Is the amount calculated part of the final bid amount? How does it get paid to the contractor? And is payment made for the actual number of days per fixed daily price? Thank you.

Inquiry submitted 07/21/2021

Response #1:(BI#8)-Your inquiry has been received.  However, please be aware due to the short time frame between when this inquiry was received and the bid opening, there may not be time to provide a response.  If no additional response is posted please bid per the current contract documents.

Response posted 07/21/2021

Response #2:(BI#8)-The monetary value associated with days bid is used for bid comparison only. It puts a monetary value to the days bid portion so bid items and bid days can be added into one total. That value will determine the lowest bidder. Once the bid is awarded, the dollar amount for days bid is of no value. The contractor is still obligated to complete the work in the number of days they bid, but they only get paid for the bid items in the estimate.
