Inquiry #9: We are very interested in bidding on this project and would appreciated it if the bid date could be extended by at least a week. Having only had the opportunity to visit most of the sites recently, accessing the sites appears to be much more of a difficult undertaking than the plans suggest and we would appreciate a little more time to better understand this aspect of the project.

Inquiry #10: According to the plan on Drawing D-5, the only access to the south end of Drainage System (DS) No. 11 is through the creek which flows through DS No. 13. The work required at DS No. 11 is significant and will require sizable equipment. Please confirm that equipment will be allowed to travel through the DS No. 13 creek. If not, will another access be provided?
Inquiry submitted 02/01/2022

Response #1:(BI#10)-Please bid per the current contract documents

Inquiry #11: According to the profile on Drawing DP-6, the the north side of the excavation to replace the six (6) feet of 24" CSP at Drainage System (DS) No. 11 will be approximately eighteen (18) to twenty (20) feet deep and is located in a steep section of the Highway 50 road embankment. This appears to be a significant and difficult undertaking to replace six (6) feet of pipe given the limited access to this location. Please confirm that this is the Departments intent. If this is the Department's intent, are there any special shoring requirements that the Contractor will be required to meet?
Inquiry submitted 02/01/2022

Response #1:(BI#11)-Please bid per the current contract documents.
