Inquiry #11: Item 49 BUILDING WORK:

Inquiry #12: Item #45 TEMPORARY FENCE and What Type/Item for 'CHAIN LINK FENCE'?:
A bid quantity is given of 1,670 LF of TEMPORARY FENCE. However 'Construction Detail Plans' (C-1 to C-3) show a total of 4,546 LF of 'Temporary Fence'.
Also a 'Chain Link Fence' symbol is listed on 'PLANT LEGEND' on Plan PL-1. There are 'CHAIN LINK FENCE' quantities shown/listed on 'PLANT QUANTITIES' Plan PQ-1 of 1,664 LF, which would match Item Quantity for Item #45.
Recap:
1) Item #45 of 1,670 LF should read 'Chain Link Fence' and a Specification should be provided of Clk Fencing.
2) An Item should be provided for approx. 4,590 LF of 'TEMPORARY FENCING'.

Inquiry #16: Hello, per plan sheet C-1 to C-3 there seems to be Temporary fencing of almost 4,477 LF. However on the bid schedule it only shows 1,670 LF of Temporary Fence. Please look over the quantities needed.

On plan sheet PP-7 to PP-11 and quantities sheet PQ-1, it mentions for Chain Link Fence not "Temporary Fence". Per plan sheet PP-7 PP-8, PP-10, & PP-11 there is 1,291 LF of chain link fence. If chain link fence is needed, please clarify type of chain link fence with specs and details.

For bid item 46 Tube Steel Fence, detail LD-1 does not mention the color of the ornamental iron fence. Please clarify the color of the ornamental iron fence.

In addition, i realize that there are tube steel gates to be installed for this project. Detail 1 / LD-1 states a 30' wide double swing gate however the detail showing is a 15' wide single swing gate. Please adjust the tube steel gate details accordingly.

There isn't a bid item for the 12' wide tube steel single swing gate & 30' wide tube steel double swing gate. I added the gate footage to the tube steel fence footage but it does not add up to 610. Please revise bid schedule to include the tube steel gates on the bid schedule.

Inquiry #21: Following up on Inquiry #19 we also EMPHASIS to postponed Bid Date since essential Inquiries filed long time ago have NOT been answered. Please refer to the following Inquiries filed more than a week ago!!!:

#3) Bid Item 44: 140 CY 721810 SLOPE PAVING (CONCRETE) (submitted 04/29/2022)
There is no THICKNESS given for the Slope Paving. The SSP 72-11.01D Payment states that: "... and
(2) the thickness SHOWN for the concrete slope paving." However NO THICKNESS is shown and/or
provided = NOT BIDDABLE.

#4) Bid Item 25: 129,000 SQFT 205034 DECOMPOSED GRANITE (submitted 04/29/2022)
The Item Quantity is off by 100,000 SQTF! This will increase bid unnecessary by $200 to $300K (based
on CalTrans own 'Cost Data Records')!!!!

#12) Missing CHAIN LINK Fence Bid Item (submitted 05/02/2022):
Contract Documents Show (Plans PP-10/11/12) AND List 1,664 LF (Plan PQ-1) of 'CHAIN LINK'
fencing. No further info provided.

#12) Bid Item 45: 1,670 LF 800100 TEMPORARY FENCE (submitted 05/02/2022):
Bid Quantity is OFF by almost 3,000 LF. This will mistakenly lower Bid amount by $60 to $90K (based
on CalTrans own 'Cost Data Records')!!!!

As also mentioned in previous Inquires, not providing this info timely, does impact getting accurate pricing and making it unnecessary difficult to get DBE businesses involved.

Inquiry #22: Finally some answers!!! Addendum #1 received. Thank you!
Now we need a REVISED BID ITEM list with revised Quantities and that specifies size of CHAIN LINK fence as shown on revised Plans (per Add. 01) AND I emphasis POSTPONE BID DATE, so we have sufficient time to do due diligence addressing Bid Document Changes. If it takes the State to address the inquiries over a week, it should give the contractors at least a week to address the changes and additions. Thank you!

Inquiry #23: Thank you for Bid Extension to 5/25/2022 and Revised Bid Item List!
However the following two inquiries have not been satisfactory addressed:

Bid Item 45: 1,670 LF 800100 TEMPORARY FENCE (submitted 05/02/2022):
Bid Quantity is still OFF by 2,917 LF. Now with confirmed Quantity per 'PLANTING QUANTITIES' plan PQ-1 and backed up with Specification.
Will bid Item quantity be adjusted to match Quantity as shown on PQ-1 and Plans C-1 to C-3 to 4,600 LF?

Still No Bid Item for CHAIN LINK (submitted 05/02/2022):
Contract Documents Show (Plans PP-10/11/12) AND List 1,664 LF (Plan PQ-1) of 'CHAIN LINK'
fencing. No further info provided.
Will there be a Bid Item added for Chain Link Fence (including Type)?
