Inquiry #3: 1. It stated that baseline biological and natural resource studies of the work area were to be completed by Caltrans. Have those studies been completed and are they available for review?
2. Have Caltrans biologists already identified the potential ESA areas and species?
3. Are these available in GIS shapefiles?
4. If they have not been completed, then this becomes a task order for the contracting biologist?
5. What is the time frame for the start/end of the project? Does this include the time for initial surveys, reports, etc if they have not yet been completed (item 1&2 above)?
6. The required activities of the monitoring biologist are explained quite well in the provided documents, but what will be the project specific duties? i.e. the monitoring biologists needs to be on-site for the complete work day, preconstruction surveys within a week of ground disturbance activities, complete weekly site visits, strictly on-call, etc?
