Inquiry #2: The Bit Item 119(F) Isolation Casing has a value of 11,661 lb. on the Bid Item List and in the Plans the value given is 43,660 lb.. Please clarify.

Inquiry #3: The quantity for the import borrow seems to be over stated for stages 1A and 1B. After adding in the quantity for subsidence stated in the special provisions section 19-7.04 of 6,274 CY, then subtracting the roadway ex for these stages, the import borrow is overstated by about 7,500 CY. Please adjust the quantity for import borrow accordingly in the bid and on the summary of quantities, plan sheet 208(Q-1).

Inquiry #4: On sheet 136 stage 2a construction item 1 it describes for the contractor to perform "wedge pave on "S" line from STA 109+50 TO 273+42" There is no indication of where exactly the "wedge paving" is to be placed, there is no detail or any indication of quantities for "wedge paving", can you please clarify what the wedge paving consists of?

Inquiry #6: The Central Valley Flood Protection Board ( Permit # 19540 BD), page 4 of 5, condition 25 that states “ No construction work of any kind shall be done during the flood season from November 1 to April 15 without prior approval of the Board.”
Will we be able to work in the flood zone during this timeframe?

Response #2:(BI#6)-Per condition TWENTY-FIVE of the Central Valley Flood Protection Board, Permit 19540BD, you can work during the flood season from November 1 to April 15 as long as you have approval from the Board. A Time Variance Request must be submitted to the Board at least 10 working days prior to the start of work during the flood season.

Inquiry #7: A letter from NOAA dated April 9, 2019 to CT that states “ Work is estimated to take 494 working days and would occur only between June 30 and October 31 when listed species are least likely to occur. Equipment will be removed between work seasons.”

Is the intent to have the contractor on work during Jun 30 to October 31 in the flood plane?

Inquiry #8: On Sheet L-1 there is no transition for the WB lanes into the current two way traffic. When traffic is switched into Stage 3 (There is no traffic handling plans for this either) the WB traffic goes into a tree.

Inquiry #9: Stage 1a says to build DS # 2 (12’ x 12’ x 51.2’ Box Culvert). Traffic is shown going over DS # 2 in Stage 1a,b,c,d and Stage 2. Stage 3 shows DS # 2 being constructed but traffic is shown going over the top of it. Please provide clarification as to how and when DS # 2 is to be constructed. Or does the State want 24 Hour traffic control for the entire construction the DS # 2, which the traffic charts does not allow.

Inquiry #10: ON page 217 Erosion Control Legend, Erosion Control Type 3 "Ditch Area" Step 1A, In the remarks it refers to 5-3-2. On the Notes at the top of the page it only has 1-2. Where do I find Note 3-4-5?
