Inquiry #1: Item # 2 Construction Area Signs
There are no construction area signs shown on the plans.
Are construction area signs needed?
If so we would need the type of signs, signs panels sizes, and posts sizes in order to proved a quote.

Response #1:Submitted for consideration.

Response #2:Please refer to TH-1 (Traffic Handling Plan) plan sheet.

Inquiry #2: The signs shown on the TH plans and RSP would be covered under traffic control, not construction area signs.
Those signs would be installed and removed with the closure per shift.

Construction signs are generally W20-1 & G20-2 installed at each end of the project, at each intersection, & ramps.
If these are not going to be required, then the construction area sign item should be deleted.

Inquiry #3: In the project special provisions Item 17 is identified as 8" Thermoplastic Traffic Stripe (Enhanced Wet Night Visibility)(Broken 36-12), however on the project plans the corresponding footages fall under 6" Thermoplastic Traffic Stripe (Enhanced Wet Night Visibility)(Broken 36-12). Can Caltrans please clarify if the stripe is to be 6" or 8" wide.
