Inquiry #3: Lighting System plans E-1 thru E-3 show Type 21D barrier mounted luminaires. Revised standard plan ES-6D shows that the luminaires are in Type 60MF concrete barrier. Will the owner add a bid item for this work or how does this work get paid for?

Response #2:From layout sheet L-1, Concrete Barrier type MGF is to be use for each Light pole location (i.e. Each Luminaire). Luminaires are paid for by pay item: 870200 and barriers are paid for by pay item: 839647

Inquiry #4: ITEM #12, ALTERNATIVE CRASH CUSHION:
Special Provisions contain no information pertaining to this item. Please provide appropriate specifications for procurement.

RSP A76F, CONCRETE BARRIER, TYPE 60MGF:
Is referenced in Note #1 on sheet 7, L-1, and by inference, in (16) locations on the E Plans. These locations are in both existing & new Concrete Barrier. How is this work to be paid? Previous recent Bids have provided a separate Bid Item, a length of @32.84 LF per each location, and a specific construction detail.

ITEM #78, MIDWEST GUARDRAIL SYSTEM, WOOD POST:
Project layout Plans call-out both Alternative In-Line Terminal Systems and Type SFT End Anchors at some guardrail termini. There are no Bid items for this work. How are they to be paid?

SECTION 83, RAILINGS AND BARRIERS:
References "Reconstruct Guardrail." There is no Reconstruct Guardrail Bid Item, nor work shown on the Plans. Where is this work to be performed?

Inquiry #5: It appears that there are missing guardrail related bid items. Layout sheets L-1, L-2 & L-3 all reference ending and or beginning guardrail runs with 31" Inline Terminals Systems and End Anchor Assembly's Type SFT. There are no bid items for either of those and they are not listed in the quantity summaries.

Inquiry #6: Shown on plan sheet E-3 at stations 250+60, 252+75 and 253+03 are pull boxes. These pull boxes are note 8 which calls for a new #6 traffic box to be installed. I believe that these pull boxes are existing since the conduit is existing as well as the fact that they are all depicted as existing. Please either correct or clarify.

Inquiry #7: Environmental Stewardship allows some operations too exceed 86 dBA at 50 feet? Can the removal of the concrete barrier exceed 86 dBA during night work?

Inquiry #9: In addition to Inquiries #4 & #5, Cross Section Plan Sheet X-2 shows Delineator (Type F) on the Midwest Guardrail System. There is not a bid item for these delineators. Are the guardrail delineators to be installed and if so how many are required? Also, how would they be paid for?
