Inquiry #2: Are there cross sections available for the work along the CR1 line under the bridge?

Inquiry #3: It is not clear what the roadway excavation bid items refer to. Plan sheet Q-1 remarks that much of this occurs "offsite." Can you provide clarification as to how much soil is to be excavated, from where, and where backfill should be placed? The contour grading sheet in the plans seems to have existing and final grades intermingled, and the volume change deducible from that drawing is a fraction of the amount of soil the bid items call for.

Response #2:The Roadway excavation on Q-1 is referring to the creek work on Sheets C-1 through C-4.

The roadway excavation is within the prism on Sheet C-4.

As part of the roadway excavation, we will salvage as much excavation as needed to place back into the creek. This material would need to be processed (filtered) offsite and stockpiled. Refer to specs for sizing of material. We would then place back this selected material back to the creek.

So excavate (1355), process/stockpile (850), and move back to the creek (volume of selected materials) within the same prism.

Refer to the x-sects of Sheets C1-C4. We are filling in material between voids of the RSP so volume of material being taken out won't match the volume being placed back in.
