Inquiry #1: 1) When is the anticipated starting date for the project?

2) On page 6 of the specifications, section 6-1.02, the first paragraph reads Department furnishes the Model 2070 controller assembly, including Controller unit, completely wired controller cabinet and detector sensor units, but on the second paragraph reads The Department furnishes you with completely wired controller cabinets with auxiliary equipment but WITHOUT controller unit. Please clarify what the department will be furnishing.

Response #3:1) Start job site activities within 55 days after receiving notice that the Contract has been approved by the Attorney General or the attorney appointed and authorized to represent the Department.

2) The Department will furnish the contractor with the Model 2070 controller assembly, including Controller unit, completely wired controller cabinet and detector sensor units. However, only the controller cabinets with auxiliary equipment will be available at 30 Rickard Street, San Francisco. The Controller unit will be hand delivered separately.

Inquiry #2: More than 800,000 Northern California homes and businesses went dark Wednesday 10/9/19 (today) in the first phase of a multi-day Public Safety Power Shutoff aimed at curbing wildfire risks amid high winds and hot, dry conditions in California.

Many of our subcontractors, material suppliers, truckers and prime contractors will NOT be able to submit quotes or bids due to the Public Safety Power Shutoff and thus promoting unfair bid situations and/or advantages.

Please consider postponing "electronic" bid openings until safety shutoffs are no longer in effect.
