2) Why is RHMA - OGFC being used for temporary paving in each of the stages? This can be very expensive to move-in a Rubber Plant for such a small quantity. Can HMA - OGAC be used instead?

Inquiry #28: Drawing 180 of 202 indicates that there is an 18" AC overlay atop the original bridge deck (1947). However as-builts suggest that a large amount of the material above the original bridge deck is Cement Treated Base. For bidding purposes, please indicate the breakdown of overlay thickeness (i.e. X" of AC, Y" of CTB). Additionally, there's no indication of the amount of AC overlay on the 1956 bridge widening portions of the bridge. Please provide that assumed thickness as well.

Response #2:Temporary Drainage should not be abandoned in place, remove temporary drainage system when no longer necessary.

Quantity of Rapid Setting Concrete (RSC) was not considered to backfill the trench after removing temporary drainage system. Contractor should bid according to their means and methods in compliance with the stage construction plans.
Trench backfill after removing temporary slotted pipe should comply with Section 61-7 of the Special Provisions.

Sections 61-6, 19-3, and 16 of the Standard Specifications are applicable to temporary culverts.

Response #2:EC Type 2 fiber rolls installation may be type 1 or 2, it's up to the Contractor.

We explicitly call for Type 2 installation over RECP (Netting) (all EC Type 1 areas).

As long as EC Type 2 fiber rolls are installed ahead of compost, hydroseed, and hydromulch, the installation method is up to the Contractor (installation type 1 or 2).
