a) Please clarify if the the number of strands and corresponding jacking force are correct. For the small cross section section (SIV-36) the drawing shows 3 more strands than (SIV-48) but smaller jacking force.

Inquiry #3: 1. The layout plans show widening and overlay work ending at station 114+35. The cross section included in the informational handout show widening work all the way to station 117+61. Which is correct?
2. Is there any specification or an item for the temporary retaining wall shown for stage 1 on sheet SC-1 section G-G? If not, what item is this work paid for under?

Inquiry #4: The deck contour sheet in the bridge drawings show a cross slope of approximately 4% for the deck. The typical section sheet in the bridge drawings indicates a 9% and varies cross slope. 9% will give a deck thickness of over 2' at the westbound type 85 rail. What is the correct way to determine the deck thickness? Neither of the above scenarios will equate to Caltrans' bid item quantity.

Inquiry #8: 1. Are the Roadway Excavation quantities shown on Sheet Q-1 only for the excavation for the permanent pavement sections that will be constructed during the stage construction?
2. Do the roadway excavation quantities shown on Sheet Q-1 include removal of the 500 CY of import material that was placed in the bioswales that will be restored when we are done? If not how are we paid for that excavation/restoration?

Inquiry #17: On sheet 107 of 115, the slope shown is 9%. At that slope, the second set of slabs will drop 13", the others will step 10" exposing the Keyway by 4" to 6". The maximum slope cannot exceed 5% or the 3" duct will not work. Please advise.
