Inquiry #1: We are considering doing the proposed work during daytime hours. Is the parking strip considered the shoulder area?
Inquiry submitted 11/23/2022

Response #1:Submitted for consideration.

Response #2:Yes, the on-street parking area is part of the shoulder. For parking restrictions make arrangements with the local authorities. See and follow the specifications including, but not limited to: 7-1.03 PUBLIC CONVENIENCE and 12-4 MAINTAINING TRAFFIC.

Inquiry #2: Regarding the permanent Vehicle Speed Feedback Signs:
The plans call for (21) Radar Speed Signs. It appears that the posted speed limits are 25MPH – 30MPH and the size of the static speed limit signs are 24”x30”
However, the plans specifically call for the Radar Speed Signs to be 3’ x 4’. These size signs are designed for roadways where posted speeds are in excess of 50MPH.
Typically 25-30MPH posted speeds would be accommodated by a 24”x30” Radar Speed Sign which is designed for speeds up to 35MPH.
Will signs with overall dimensions of 24'x30" or 30” x 41” be accepted if they have the size of digits that are specified (14") and meet all other requirements.
