Inquiry #1: The Special Provisions on page 18, Section 20-6.01B, calls for the following: invasive plant management period: Number of working days shown on the Notice to Bidders for invasive plant management work. However, the Notice to Bidders does not have an invasive plant management period.
Please clarify if the plant establishment period is the same as the invasive plant management period. If so, the contractor's invasive plant management representative with a California pest control advisor has to inspect the job site for 3 years?

Inquiry #2: This project requires to water the planting with a water truck for three years.
Please clarify if Caltrans is furnishing the water and where is the closest location to fill the water truck. If Caltrans is not providing the water, should there be a item for developing water?

Response #2:Water is as specified in 2018 Standard Specifications section 20-1.02B. You must make arrangements for supplying water; since there is no bid item for water service charges, there is no water available from an existing Department-owned facility within the project limits shown on the plans, and there is no water available from the irrigation system to be installed under the contract.

Inquiry #3: For Bid Item No. 11 - Plant (Group H), please advise if cuttings will be available to collect in field.

Inquiry #4: Should there be an item for mobilization on this project?

Response #1:No. The Mobilization item is not included for projects of this type with less than 50 working days, excluding plant establishment and invasive plant management work.

Inquiry #5: The proposed design installation for compost, dry seed and irrigation is problematic to actual site conditions (vertical slopes, etc.) and will not work as designed. Please address this as soon as possible.
