Inquiry #4: Could you please provide barrier offsets for the 60MC barrier, I am trying to find them and not having much luck. A 60MC can have an offset in grade elevation up to 3ā€™ difference. Anything greater than 1ā€™ offset requires the rebar to be fully caged. Iā€™m having a hard time trying to quantify the rebar and concrete for the 60MC. Any information is greatly appreciated.

Inquiry #7: In reviewing several of the sites it looks like major earthwork will be required at several of the guardrail locations. Several existing runs have existing buried anchors that are changing to In-Line Terminals. This will require large amounts of excavation and grading and possibly retaining walls to hold materials on slopes to meet the requirements of the standard plans for the specified guardrail layouts. How is all of this excavation & grading work to be paid?
Inquiry submitted 01/11/2019

Response #1:Minor grading, as required and shown in the standard plan details for guardrail and end treatments, should be included in the price for the rail and end treatments. Refer to C-64 for Rail Element Wall.
Response posted 01/15/2019

Inquiry #8: No grading information is provided for the guardrail terminals. Please provide grading for these terminal locations since the new layouts differ from the existing layouts and major excavations will be required at several locations.
Inquiry submitted 01/14/2019

Response #1:No additional information will be provided at this late date. Minor grading, as required and shown in the standard plan details for guardrail and end treatments, should be included in the price for the rail and end treatments. Refer to C-64 for Rail Element Wall.
