Response #2:Attention is directed to section 12-4.02C(12) "Construction Work Zone Speed Limit Reduction" of the special provisions. Portable radar speed feedback Sign System(ea) is used when there is a lane or shoulder closure, or both, during the work shift. For example, closing the lane or shoulder to setup Temporary Railing (Type K). After the work shift, the portable radar speed feedback Sign System needs to be removed from the jobsite or turned off, covering the signs of the radar. The item is paid each day the portable radar speed feedback sign is fully operational.

Temporary radar Speed feedback Sign System is 24/7. It is used when there is a long term closure of a lane or shoulder. For example, after the Temporary Railing (Type K) is installed on either lane or shoulder, that changes the existing roadway condition. The temporary radar Speed feedback Sign System needs to be turned on 24/7 until the lane or shoulder is returned to the existing condition. Must comply with Temporary electrical system in section 87-20.

Inquiry #6: Plan Sheet L-2 Calls for a Buried MGS Type 12C. Layout Type 12C requires a Transition Type WB-31, Midwest Guardrail and then the Buried Post End Anchor.

How are all of these items being paid?

Will these Galvanized guardrail materials need to be Natina Stained?

Inquiry #9: In the structural drawings labeled "Soil Nail Assembly" sheet 17 of 31, the soil nail assembly detail states the final shotcrete facing is 9". However, on sheet 15 of 31 labeled "Typical Section No. 2", both details show as 10" Final Shotcrete facing.

Please confirm if the final shotcrete facing is 9 or 10 inches.
