Response #2:Refer to the foundation report dated March 17, 2022, for Felton Sidehill Viaduct. The soils at this site are considered corrosive. Refer to foundation report dated March 17, 2022, for San Lorrenzo River Viaduct. Soils at this site are non-corrosive. Bid per current bid documents.

Inquiry #6: Please confirm that all concrete (CIDH "Concrete" Backfill, Bridge, Bridge (Polymer Fiber), Cap Beam and Barrier Rail) must be integrally pigmented colored concrete matching color no. 33448 (beige). Also confirm that final color of concrete slab, columns, bents, bent caps, soffits and abutments (not barriers) must match color no. 30219 (brown). How is the staining described in Section 78 paid?

Response #1:Refer to Section 51 on page 59 of the Project Special Provisions. All concrete must be integrally pigmented colored concrete matching color no. 33448 including concrete slab, columns, bents, bent caps, soffits abutments and concrete barriers.
Please refer to Addendum 1, which removed all of Project Special Provisions Section 78-4.04.

Inquiry #8: The CIDHs have a bid item for Rock Sockets to mitigate geologic risk of the variation of the Top of Rock which varies from near the surface to as deep as 30 ft depth.

Is there a way to have two bid items for the 30" Drilled Holes for the Soldier Piles similar for drilling in Rock and drilling in Soil. The state will pay significantly more for this geologic risk for the Soldier Piles if it does not have two bid items for different geologic material like the CIDHs.
