Submit new inquiry for this projectInquiry #1: In regard to removal of existing thermoplastic striping; will the contractor be required to remove traffic striping that may be in the existing rumble strip? Removing striping in rumble strip will damage the pavement beyond what the specification allows. Please give us some direction in this instance.

Response #2:The Engineer may authorize the existing striping be left in place if it is deeper than 1/8 of an inch below the pavement surface. Proposals for modifications to the contract documents may be submitted to the Engineer after contract approval.
