Inquiry #2: Due to this project not being a cold plane and pave in the same shift, that automatically makes the opportunities turn into two making the spec even tighter. In addition with very limited base repair areas and overall MRIs for each lane averaging 135.51 for nb and sb averaging 116.71. How does the state plan to address several MRIs that are more than double the current specs on such a thin lift? How much additional material will the state allow primes to remove so they are able to achieve a specification that is unachievable given the current design? Or will the state alter its plans/design and change it to a single opportunity (i.e. cold plane and pave same shift ) so that the areas that are more than double the MRI spec can be achieved using the Pay Adjustment Spreadsheet for Percentage of Improvement and not qualify as an automatic deduction even though a vast improvement will be made?
