Inquiry #17: The plans show several design H's which go from 6ft. to 10 ft. which includes the Barrier.
Is the Masonry Block to be 6 ft. tall along the entire length of the wall? It also show the 1st. 6 ft. to be grouted solid so does this mean that the entire wall is grouted solid? With no color or texture indicated is this wall to be a plaster finish?

For masonry block cell grout location, refer to details on sheet 612 of 618 of the contract plans.
The masonry block soundwall is to have a whitewashed stucco finish. Refer to sheet 607 and 609 of 618 and section 78-4.09, "Stucco Finish" of the Special Provisions.

Inquiry #39: Caltrans is calling out a Terminal Joint Type G where new .90' thick CRCP joins the existing pavement. The detail for the Terminal Type G requires a MR2" compression seal, that the manufacturer requires a saw depth of between 6.25" to 6.75" which will cut into the dowel. Will Caltrans consider a Type A sealant with the same Movement Rating that won't require destroying the dowel and thus making the load transfer at these locations non functional?
