Response #2:Please bid per current contract documents. Details and specifications for Zone guard barrier are not provided. While Zone Guard Steel Barrier is on the approved product list per Caltrans HQ Traffic Operations/Safety, the use of said product would be a change to the contract.

Inquiry #3: Bid item for control and neutral conductors armor clad, are we to splice into existing wire with new pull box at every splice? Or run new wire to each existing remote control valves?

Inquiry #4: Per line item No 14 Roadway Excavation, only 5 cy is being removed. Under what Item will the Excavation for the Minor Concrete (Exposed Aggregate) be paid? Or should the Contractor assume that no Excavation is needed for the Minor Concrete (Exposed Aggregate) and placement is on original grade?

Inquiry #5: Bid Item 37 calls out for "exposed aggregate concrete". However, all of the existing concrete the contractor is to tie into and match is textured (stamped) concrete. Is exposed aggregate concrete correct or is the intent to be textured concrete (match existing)?

Inquiry #6: Bid item 37 calls out for exposed aggregate concrete. In order to produce this finish, the contractor must wash the newly placed concrete to expose the aggregate. This concrete wash/slurry will be washed onto Highway 99. Will the state allow this concrete wash on Highway 99 and in the state storm drain system?

Inquiry #8: After further review of the project plans, there are no cross sections given for the Exposed Aggregate Concrete (EAC). Please provide cross sections showing Original Grade (OG) vs. Finished Surface so that the Contractor can calculate the Excavated Material. The existing grade is not uniform throughout.
