Inquiry #1: This projects lists traffic chart M1, as a complete closure of the South Gateway Drive Overcrossing bridge for 72 hours only from Saturday through Monday.

Due to the sheer volume of deck repair required on the job, the current traffic chart does not yield enough time to complete the work in a construct-able window of time of the closure and project duration.

Are there additional traffic closures on the bridge available during the week, such as a flagging situation?

Inquiry #2: Project 06-0U1704 Addendum No. 2 was released on July 15, 2020.

With Addendum No. 2, Section 12-4.02C(3)(m) Traffic Chart No. M1 was revised and replaced original contract documents. In the same addendum, project plan sheet 8, MI-1 was also revised and replaced original contract documents.

Revised and Replaced Traffic Chart No. M1 shows Reversing Control from Sunday at 10 PM to 6 AM on Monday and from 8 PM to 6 AM on Mondays to Friday Mornings.

Revised and Replaced Project Plan Sheet 9, MI-1, Note 2 states, "Complete Closure of South Gateway Dr OC Bridge Shall Not Exceed 12 Consecutive Days."

Due to probable hindrance and inconvenience to the public, safety of the contractor's workers and safety of the travelling public, will the revised Plan Sheet and Note 2 override the revised Section 12-4.02C(3)(m) Traffic Chart No. M1?

Therefore, the traffic closure of the South Gateway Dr OC Bridge will be a complete closure that shall not exceed 12 consecutive days?

Response #2:Long term, stage construction closures (greater than 72 hours),are specified in the contract plans.

Short term duration closures (Lane Closures less than 72 hours in duration) are described in the Closure Charts in Chapter 12 of the contract specifications.
