Inquiry #3: Will Caltrans please provide an existing ground topo? There is no existing contours on the grading plans and the XML file provided only provides a combined surface with existing ground only to the C/F lines on the layout sheets.

Inquiry #5: Layout sheets L-1 note 3, L-2 note 4, and L-2 note 2 state that temporary fencing is used during construction. There is no item for temporary fence or a reference in the special provisions for this. Please review and clarify.

Response #2:Fence needs to be replace by Chain link fence not temporary fence. Per Section 9-1.03 PAYMENT SCOPE of Caltrans Standard specifications 2018: “Payment is: Full compensation for all work involved in each bid item shown on the Bid item list by the unit of measure shown for that bid itemâ€. In this case, payment is included in the Bid item 51, CHAIN LINK FENCE (TYPE CL-6).

Inquiry #7: According to the traffic and CAS plans CalTrans is building this project under a full closure for the duration of the project. What is the need for Temporary Lighting (Bid Item #72) in the construction zone under a complete closure? Please review.
