Inquiry #3: After Review of the PPF files and Partial Width Segment Corrections on this job, it is my understanding that Cal Trans plans perform Partial width Segment Correction in the SB lanes on the .25 Cold Plane area from 0.00 to 1.0. Was this your intention? This is concluded by your SB run. The SB PPF file starts at PM 0.00, but in reality that is PM 6.04 correct? Can you please confirm that the partial width segment corrections specified in the quantity sheets do not include the cold plane area, and if so is Cal Trans still considering Partial Width Segment Correction in this area prior to the cold plane?
Inquiry submitted 03/05/2020

Response #1:Submitted for consideration.

Response #2:The full width segment correction and partial width segment corrections are provided on the Summary of Quantities plan sheet under the “Prepaving Corrections” table. Segment corrections provided in the “Prepaving Corrections” table are not included in the cold plane area.
