Inquiry #3: Will the 12.78 acres of maintain existing planted areas shown on plan sheets PP-4, PP-5, PP-6, and PP-7 also be part of the contractors plant establishment period? or is the contractor only responsible to maintain new planting as part of the 750 working days plant establishment period? Inquiry #4: At the six locations where CCA and Ball valves are to be installed, the points of connection are not obvious. Will the engineer locate them or will this be the contractors responsibility?

Response #2:Attention is directed to the “Legend” on IP-1, and the IP sheets for diagrammatic placement of these items. Placement of these items will be the discretion and the responsibly of the contractor except; these items must have appropriate maintenance access and function as integral part of the intended irrigation system. All work shall be in accordance with section 20-2, “Irrigation” of the contract specifications and the contract documents.

Inquiry #5: It appears the specification for schedule 40 supply lines should be UV protected PVC pipe although the Quantities page IQ1 does not indicate this? Please advise.

Inquiry #6: Addenda 4 added item 40 temporary irrigation system. The irrigation plans don’t show what type of temporary irrigation nor where this temporary irrigation is being installed? Is item 40 for the areas with cam coupler assemblies if so please revise item list? Or is this a separate install? Not clear. Please revise irrigation plans showing what type of temporary irrigation and where its being installed. Item 40 not clear.

Response #2:Attention is directed to section 20-2.14 of bid specifications of Addendum No 2 dated December 12, 2022. The intent of Bid Item 40, “Temporary Irrigation System” described in Addendum No 4, is to provide a bid item for the work stated in this specification (transporting and applying water for irrigation) to the cam coupler assemblies locations described in the bid plans.
