Inquiry #2: How does the State plan to pay for the removal of existing hardscapes? Currently, this contract only has haul off items for ADL soil and concrete at the bioswale. How does the contractor get paid for removing all the existing gore asphalt? The State needs to add a bid item for 190101 ROADWAY EXCAVATION.

Response #1:Excavation including removal of existing asphalt if any, is included in their corresponding type of Roadway Excavation as tabulated in the Roadway Quantities Table on Sheet Q-1.

Inquiry #3: The State's response to Inquiry #2 fails to address the issue. As stated in Inquiry #2, YOU DO NOT HAVE AN ITEM ROADWAY EXCAVATION; only removal of dirt. Any hardscape removals will be change order work unless you fix this issue.
