Response #2:Contractor to install new wires for new or replaced valves. Usage of existing wire is allowed, however functionality of the wire connection must be verified by the contractor prior to use.

Inquiry #8: I had 2 questions regarding Bid Item #79: Alternative Crash Cushion (Location 5)-

1) Is the removal of existing crash cushions to be included under this item?

2) There is no information in the special provisions that references the concrete pad underneath the crash cushion system. Is it the intent to remove the existing concrete pad and to repour when installing this item?

1)Removal of existing crash cushions is not included under this item #79 Alternative Crash Cushion. This item is added
in addendum#2 dated 05/27/2022.

2)If the existing concrete pad is suitable for the proposed crash cushion, then we may install the crash cushion on it. Only if it's necessary, the concrete pad will be removed and installed.

Inquiry #9: Regarding Bid Item #79 Alternative Crash Cushion System: The existing concrete block is 3' wide. The new crash cushion systems are 24" wide. Please advise to the desired transition.

Inquiry #10: Please verify the UM discrepancy for bid item 77, Vegetation Control (Minor Concrete). Summary of Quantities sheet Q-2 shows 1454.26 SQFT for veg control, where as the bid item list reads 1460 SY.
