Response #3:Excavation of the BMP from the top of the BMP to the excavation depth is included in the DPPIA cost and quantified on the DQ sheets. Any excavation from the existing surface to the top of the BMP is per Caltrans std plan A62A and is paid for under ditch excavation or roadway excavation and is quantified on the Q sheets.

Inquiry #19: Per Inquiry #5, the tapered inlet at Location 7 is to be built per Caltrans Std Detail D87D. There does not appear to be any concrete in this detail, per the drainage quantities sheet the tapered inlet has 0.83 CY of concrete. Please confirm if this is correct. Also should the tapered inlet be paid under a tapered inlet item rather than the structural concrete, drainage inlet item?
