Inquiry #2: Dwg M2-01, detail 1, waste oil and waste coolant pump stations; The drawing shows a hose reel on the waste oil pump, and suction wand assembly for the waste coolant. Diaphragm pumps have limited suction and a hose reel generally makes it worse. We respectfully recommend removing the reel and suction wand and specifying a set of Graco receivers, 238866 Oil King and 248632 Coolant King for both wings. These connect directly with the evacuation systems for a clean transfer.

Inquiry #3: Section 99-14451 B (1), mobile column lifts; The section calls for both wireless operation and a retractable cord reel. Since this is typically one or the other feature, not both, please verify that both features are required.

Inquiry #7: Drawings M1-04 and M2.04, detail 1, welding exhaust fan and extraction arm; There is no make or model specified. We respectfully suggest the Airflow model PCH-1 for mobile units and the Airflow EZ-Arm extractor arm for the stationary system. Also, please clarify the desired fan and CFM for the extractor arm system.

Inquiry #8: Panel schedules, drawings EE1-2.7, 6.2, 6.3, 6.5; Equipment is shown on the schedule, but not specified: drill presses, pedestal grinders, parts cleaners, surface grinder, hydraulic hose crimper, hydraulic hose cut-off, blast cabinet, hydraulic press and hot parts washer. Inquiry #10: Per Section 80 - Security Metal Fences and Gates, we are required to submit a manufacturer's standard 10-year warranty for factory finish against cracking, peeling and blistering under normal use. Inquiry #11: Section 99-14451B(1) - Mobile Column Lifts. We respectfully request approved equal status for the Rotary MCH418 and 618 mobile column lifts. These lifts meet every requirement, and exceed the lifting requirement by 3,000-lb per column, have a 70" full rise and a rise speed of 53.8 inches per minute. Glass mat batteries can be provided. The Rotary lifts do not use a liquid crystal display as these displays fade over time and become difficult to read. A brochure and specifications can be provided.

All hose reels are Motorized
VEHR Systems incorporate automatic controls on the hose reels to activate the fan.
VEHR Systems are “all on” or “all off”
VEHR Systems incorporate automatic controls where the fan will be “first on / last off” when the hose reels are extended and then retracted.
VERF Hose Reels incorporate controls to automatically turn the fan on and off.

Section 2.01.G.2 it indicates 72-hour minimum.
Both of the attached drawings indicate 40 Hour, 4120 Gallon Tank.

Inquiry #15: Spec page 99-11146A they call for a Double wall tank as well as on the blue prints and on page 99-11146B they call for UL 2085 tank which have a 6” concrete wall with 2-hour fire shield. This seems excessive and not needed for Oil tanks.

Inquiry #17: Location of bottom of Exterior Metal siding as call out on sheet A1-32 Federal Color 25189 Blue Green. Is it acceptable to have the custom color of the perforated soffit color to be painted and baked over the manufactures finish? Or do you want our sheet metal sub to provide this panel with the spec’ed color since they will be providing this color on the other structures?
