Inquiry #17: The action required to obtain a bid proposal forms is a bit complicated. We are currently attempting to obtain our Bidder ID number from the State and two different websites used by the DOT (Bid Express and Expedite Bid). As far as we can tell the Bid Express hosts the actual bid proposal to download/print and then we actually submit it through Expedite Bid. The process appears a bit more arduous as a result of the DOTs transition to Bid Express occurring concurrently with the bid process for this project.

Our question is, without currently being able to view the bid proposal forms for reasons noted above, we would like to confirm that the subcontractor listing form and any and all other required forms required to submit electronically will be provided by the State with the exception of the bid bond which we use our Suretys standard form for.

Inquiry #74: We cannot find any call out for the over-ex for the building or parking lot. The soils report says the footings should be placed on undisturbed native material, but also states there was an existing building that had pilons extending 20’ down and have been removed. Seems the entire sight would have been disturbed during the demo process? Please advise on the over-ex depth.

Inquiry #75: ON sheet M0-00 of the plans, note one states the following: "Contact County of Los Angeles Sanitation Department for final connection and requirements for connecting to existing sewer." we contacted them and they told us that the existing sewer line in Freeway Dr. belongs to City of Santa Fe Springs. Can you please clarify this and will Cal Trans be paying the permit and connection fees for both agencies?

Inquiry #76: I have a question regarding conflicting information on the drawings. Sheet A0-1a is calling for a deluge type sprinkler system. Sheet A0-1c also references a deluge type system. Riser detail on sheet M2-11 shows a traditional wet system riser. Please confirm if it is the intent of the Architect to provide this building with a deluge system.
