Inquiry #1: Bid item No. 7 calls for 168 days of mobile barrier system. The chart in section 12-3.24C shows the mobile barrier being required at all locations of construction. The lane closure charts already allow full lane closures at most of these locations, therefore the mobile barrier is not needed. The remaining locations require one lane to remain open in each direction of travel, however these locations only have one or two lanes so using the mobile barrier will result in a full closure.

Please revise the locations on the chart in section 12-3.24C and the number of days in bid item No. 7 to reflect the locations and number of days where the mobile barrier is actually applicable.

Inquiry #2: The Deck Repair Table calls out specific areas and Approximate Square Feet to be repaired. Is it CALTRANS intent to Chain all the locations called out to verify extent of Unsound Concrete?
