Inquiry #11: The copy of the California Department of Fish and Wildlife (Department) Notification of Streambed Alteration and Agreement attached to the Information Handout is incomplete. The Department letter states that Caltrans submitted a notification to the Department, but because the Department did not respond by a specific date, Caltrans must complete the Project exactly as described in notification to the Department. Therefore, please provide a copy of the notification documents that were provided to the Department to ensure that the contractor complies with all project components, avoidance, minimization and mitigation measures that Caltrans identified in the Notification to the Department that would be undertaken as part of the project, to ensure permit compliance.

Inquiry #13: In order to match the grade lines shown on plan sheet 54 substantial excavation and haul off will be required underneath and extending away from the bridge on both sides. Also, to meet those lines as finished face the material excavated in all four corners will need to be excavated and hauled off to accommodate the 7.5' of rock slope protection.
Under what line item or items will this be paid?
Also, The rock slope protection will be placed directly on the footing as shown.

Inquiry #15: Is there any chance on changing the HMA spec to a less unique product? A significant cost has to be accounted for on the producers side making it less cost effective.
