Inquiry #2: In regard to item #94 (Thermoplastic Stripe).
There is a Prime striping project from PM 10.0/154.6 that is removing and replacing all striping and pavement markers on Rte. 40. Is the striping on this project going to be done, or will you be eliminating this item? (#94)
It will surely be eliminated on one contract or the other !
Please advise.

Inquiry #9: Please confirm the prebid registration link provided in Addendum 2 is valid. The link opens to a Webex Meeting Room sign-in and doesn't appear to provide a registration option.

Response #1:The link in question is not valid anymore owing to a software glitch. All bidding parties should have received emails on Friday July 17 directing them to a link facilitating Registration, following which each applicant would receive invitation information on Webex.

Response #1:At present, we don't anticipate issuing an addendum in connection with this mandatory pre-bid link since we are in the process of resolving the current glitch. Our latest email to you containing the link serves as the valid method to proceed with Registration.

Inquiry #16: Item 98 Dispute Resolution has a fixed price of 6,000 per addendum 3. In the AASHTOWare software, this $ amount is pre-populated but the system is flagging this item as needing a price. This will prevent bids from being turned in if not resolved.

Inquiry #18: Per the Incidental Take Permit No. 2081-2019-006-06 INTERSTATE 40 REGRADE EXISTING MEDIAN PROJECT POSTMILE 125-154.6, Section 8.9 Covered Species Translocation: Regardless of the number of Covered Species estimated to be translocated the Permittee shall prepare a Desert Tortoise Translocation Plan (DTTP) 60 Calendar days prior to start of Covered Activities and submit it according to condition of approval 7.5 of this ITP. Covered Activities are not authorized to start until the DTTP is approved in writing by CDFW....All tortoises >100 mm MCL removed off the Project Area shall be transmittered and monitored for 5 years post translocation.

Will Translocation be required for this Project instead of the standard Relocation proceedures followed on previous jobs? And if YES, must the Contractor Supplied Biologist Bids include costs for 5 years of Translocation monitoring, as well as all associated costs of Translocation, including, but not limited to, disease testing and transmitters? Is the DTTP available for review prior to the bid?

Inquiry #20: A biologist quote received makes reference to "CDFW 2081" as grounds for needing a full-time monitor in each work area. This CDFW 2091 is also referenced in the 08-0R1424sp. Could not find this document called CDFW 2081 to determine if multiple biologists could be required.

Please clarify if one full-time biologist will cover the entire project or if multiples could be needed.

Response #1:Please note that CDFW 2081 is located in your Notice to Bidders and Special Provisions and is also included in your Information Handout. Multiple biologists could be needed depending on how many active areas of construction the Contractor decides to have and in the manner the project gets built.
