Inquiry #1: Sheet E-1 & E-2 shows a 24"x18" welded steel pipeliner (arched) as a protection for conduits. I am assuming the intention is for the steel pipeliner to be installed under the freeway by trenchless technology methods and not open trench? Why is a standard circular steel casing pipe not specified, to be installed by auger bore methods? What is the depth of the 24"x18" welded steel pipe under the freeway? Is geotechnical information availble for the soils to be excavated through?

Regards,
Evan Wheeler
