Submit new inquiry for this projectInquiry #1: In regard to bid item 122 (Thermoplastic Pavement Marking - Enhanced Wet Night Visibility), item code 840516; the Pavement Marking Shields that are shown on the plans are not (Enhanced Wet Night Visibility). These shields are Preformed Thermoplastic Markings, code 840515. The cost of these Preformed Shields are much higher than regular thermoplastic, and they are installed with different equipment.
The Preformed Thermoplastic Shields should have their own bid item.

Inquiry #2: Bid item 75(F) Furnish Sign Structure (Truss) - Are walkways required on these sign structures? The contract drawings do not label if a walkway is desired or not on these 2 structures.

Inquiry #3: Addendum 2 incorporated 2018 Caltrans RSP A77L2 MGS with Steel Post however Bid Item 112 remains to be MGS with Wood Post. Please clarify what kind of post we need to use and what's the purpose of the said standard plan being included in the addendum. Thanks

Inquiry #6: Regarding bid item 32, Rock Blanket. The special provisions provide a gradation requirements table with a 6-8" screen size and 100% percentage passing through the 8" screen. Our supplier has brought to our attention that with this spec, it is unrealistic to obtain a 6-8" cobble size from a bulk screened material using the table provided. As a result, there will be a high percentage of unusable material, will Caltrans reconsider and use a 4-8" screen sized gradation requirement?
