Stripe; when is this temporary stripe to be placed, during the removal of existing striping, during the grinding, or during the paving operation? There is not enough quantity to place temporary striping after all operations that effect the pavement delineation. Please advise so that all bidders know what Caltrans expects for the temporary delineation.

Inquiry #2: Will the C47C(CA) signs that are required on this project be required to be "NEW" signs upon installation on this project or will used signs in acceptable condition be accepted for use? If used signs in acceptable condition can be used what is the determining factor for "ACCEPTABLE CONDITION"?

I don't see a bid item for Retroreflective Sheeting(Type XI) for Construction Area Signs but I see sign # B-E have XI sheeting.

Response #2:Please refer to Section 12-3.11B(1), the cost of the Type XI Retroreflective Sheeting is included within the Construction Area Signs - Please bid per current contract documents.
