Inquiry #1: For Locations 3, 5, 6, and 7, traffic control charts limit daily working hours Monday through Thursday between 6AM and 6PM. Are there seperate charts for the structural approach slab work, allowing for overnight traffic control? If so, where are these charts shown? Is this work expected to be performed within the charts shown in the contract special provisions?
Inquiry submitted 04/07/2020

Response #1:The work is expected to be performed with the lane closure charts shown in the Special Provisions.

Inquiry #2: Most traffic control charts state, "All work must be completed within one work area before work beings in another work area." Is this stating that multiple locations cannot be worked on during a single shift?
Inquiry submitted 04/08/2020

Response #1:Bid per contract documents.

Inquiry #3: For the polyester concrete overlay would Caltrans allow a minimum of 2 hours cure time after final finishing and until each rebound test result for the final finish shows a reading of at least 28 when tested under ASTM C805?
Inquiry submitted 04/08/2020

Response #1:Per Standard Specifications, a minimum of 4 hours cure time after final finishing is required. ASTM C805 using a Schmidt Hammer measures the compressive strength of the polyester concrete overlay after the cure time. A minimum of 3,000 psi is required to open it to traffic.
