Inquiry #4: Trying to get some clarification on face of GR along the trees. Is face of GR going back into the same location or moving GR out so there is a 4ft clearence from trees be allowed? Right now I am counting 25 possible rail strengthenings on job and plans don't call out any. Will this be change order work or does contractor need to put in GR price?

Response #2:The project plans Summary of Quantities Q-2 (Sheet 24 of 60) assumes Strengthened Midwest Guardrail System Sections for Fixed objects is not required. A 4.0ft clearance to fixed objects could be achieved.

Inquiry #7: Please understand that the new bid date is one day before a national holiday and that the State may not receive the most competitive bids, or the best DBE participation. Will the State consider pushing the bid date an additional week to provide a more competitive bid, and a better opportunity for DBE participation?
