Inquiry #1: Can you specify what locations will require advanced flaggers, and will the use of additional PCMS be allowed to replace advanced flaggers?

Response #1:Advanced flaggers are required per the current contract documents. The placement of the advanced flaggers is dependent on the conditions during construction.

Inquiry #2: On the plans for the headwalls and wing walls the lengths that are given on the DP pages do not match the scaled wall lengths in the D pages. What are the actual wall lengths?

In the DP Pages of the plans the pipe culvert headwalls show a keyway underneath the footing but on standard plans D89A and D89B no keyway is shown. Please advise to whether or not there is a keyway and if so what is the size?

With this job bidding tomorrow please advise ASAP or consider an addendum and postponement.

Inquiry #3: Item #34 and item #35 appear to be reversed in terms of the double box culvert.
According to the Summary of Quantities, item #34, 8x4 box culvert is a double box culvert and item # 35, 8x4 double box culvert is a single box culvert.
Please advise.

Inquiry #4: There is a discrepency between the D, DP, and DQ pages when the standard plans are used to calculate the footing sizes for the head walls. Please Advise.

Response #1:Footing sizes, hence, the quantities are calculated based on the headwall sizes indicated on the DP pages as referenced to the standard plans. Quantities indicated in DQ pages should be considered accurate for bidding purposes. Please place your bid in accordance with the current contract documents.

Inquiry #7: In response to Bid inquiry #2's response to bid the job per the current contract documents. The contract documents conflict with themselves and no actual direction is given. For instance Drainage system 6 is give a wall height of 1.78' but the minimum wall height on D89 is 2'11" well above the given height of 1.78.

We request that the job be postponed until the plans can be resolved and redistributed.
