Inquiry #2: Item 50 Building Work (Irrigation Booster Pump):
The Contract Documents specify a Booster Pump Setup for the irrigation system with a separate freestanding "Electrical Equipment Enclosure". This set up is outdated and an unnecessary complicated. A more cost efficient and easier to maintain setup would be the 'all-in-one' packaged pump skid. All component in one enclosure and on smaller concrete pad made and serviced by one company. These "Pump Skids" have been installed and successfully used on many CalTrans Projects all over Northern California for many years now.
