Inquiry #1: In Section 36-3.01c(6)(c) of the Special Provisions titled Payment Adjustment Spreadsheet, this link is provided to obtain the worksheet: http://dot.ca.gov/hq/construc/smoothness. The link however does no work. Is this the incorrect link or has the site not yet been set up?

Inquiry #2: When reviewing the PPF files in Proval, looking the GPS data in the map view, some runs do not follow the ramps indicated by the plans. Was the inertial profiler run in the correct location? This applies to the following runs:

Inquiry #3: To enable correct comparison of Contractor performed inertial profile baseline to Agency Supplemental info, the same semi-permanent start and stop points must be used. Please confirm CALTRANS will provide semi-permanent markers at all start and stop points coinciding with those used by Agency for developing their data.

Response #2:No, Caltrans will not provide semi-permanent reference points. Per section 36-3.01C(5), you are required to set semi-permanent reference points.

For purposes of data comparison, you are required to perform an EXIST inertial profile run and subsequently a FINAL inertial profile run (per section 36-3.01C(6)(b)).

Comparison of contractor EXIST inertial profile run versus the Department provided profile runs is for information only.

Please bid per the current contract documents.
